I am enjoying following your journey on del Norte so much. Thank you so much for the stories, the photos and all the little extras you post. It’s awesome.
A pilgrim that believes in threading blisters well done! There are plenty of naysayers out there but I've never had a problem. After my first Camino with 11 blisters on each foot I became a believer too. Now after a few Caminos I know the few secrets of how to reduce the chances of getting them but I still sometimes need to thread. When I thread them I tie the ends together so the thread is in a loop so it can't slip out. The other thing I do is that I carry a very small spray atomiser maybe 30-50mls and fill it rubbing alcohol which you can buy in any grocery or pharmacy in Spain. This is an instant sanitiser for hands, needle, thread and skin on around the blister site.
Fantastisch om jullie loop te volgen. Klinkt best zwaar maar vooral mooie omgeving. Wij zijn nu echt aan het aftellen. Over precies een week hopen we na een lange reis in Logroño te zijn aangekomen.
Pretty scenic, but very tough. Not sure how the Covid has slowed us down, but we seem to be through that. Huh! Like Quixote we scoff at hardship. Loved having some vegetables tonight (we're old)
That’s exciting - we hope it goes well with you.
Thanks for Shari g your reports. Appreciate the effort you put in when you come in so tired and exhausted each day.

Perfect - Cathie also has a small spray. So far that’s our only blister. Fingers crossed.
The staircase looks just like you’re in NZ! Hope all the crosses you pass each day aren’t marking pilgrims who didn’t make it.. 😆
Love the truck and car parked on a bend - as bad as drivers around here 🤣🤣
You’re covering a huge amount of terrain every day. Plenty of time to grow that beard…
The truck was trying to get around the corner but didn’t have room, so the car had to back up.
Modern day problem! Today's traffic was never anticipated when the ancient towns and villages of Europe were built...

Day 5 already! Well done guys! I'm really enjoying the stories and photos. This route seems to be more scenic than last year's trip, would you agree?
