Exhibitors in the exhibition Septet, in the McKee Gallery at the Suter.
We haven’t spent all our time lately lying around reading books.
By chance, in August I got myself on to the Nelson Suter Art Society committee. At my first meeting I discovered that the next exhibition on the society’s calendar was of the work of the committee. That was good timing.
I suppose the members need to know that the organisers have got some qualifications too.
It was a bit of a scramble, with building work going on at our bach in the sounds, but I had fun making these ludicrous bottles.
I debated entering a few more things, but decided that just adding a few bowls would make a statement without hogging all the space.
So that’s my lot. We set it all up this morning and it’s looking good.
The exhibition opens at 5.30pm on Wednesday this week (September 24).
Any readers hanging out in Nelson who face an otherwise boring Wednesday evening, please come along and have a glass of wine. Bring your friends too, we’d love to see you.
